How to surf the net fast and effectively ?

I have been using the net since past 10 years. Yet I am not satisfied with what I got back from it. In fact, I have not been able to earn anything out of it.



I am looking out of friends , experts who could guide me on how to use this wonderful god's gift to the humanity effectively for overall personal development.



Please guide me on technologies, books, e zines, portals , live web casts etc, over the net which I could use to optimally use my online time as well as to guide other like minded souls.

In the first place I think you're exagerating about not beeing able to earn anything out of the Internet in 10 years.



It' hard to give pertinent advice in such a wide range of options so I'll limit myself to my favorite site at the moment.



Maybe you already tried it but I wold like to suggest Wikipedia

Just insert a topic of interest an then let yourself carried by the links in each article and you'll see that you'll get to lots of interesting things that you didn't even hear about.



I don't think the web is about planing in advance. It's more like that ';Connections'; BBC show by James Burke if you are familiar with it. :)
