Hi. Can someone please give me an estimated monthly net (after taxes) income for:

4,000.00/mo

4500.00/mo

What kind of salary a year might that work out to? ThanksIn order to take in about 4,000 a month net pay. How much Salary a year would that equate to (roughly)?
Well, you need a net of 54,000. You will definitely pay Social Security and Medicare taxes on your income. Factor in federal income tax and your total tax bill will be somewhere between 20 and 30% depending on your deductions, whether your state has an income tax, etc.

So figure you will need a gross of somewhere between $67.5K and $77.1KIn order to take in about 4,000 a month net pay. How much Salary a year would that equate to (roughly)?
Basically, you have to add the tax rate for Fed and State unemployment tax, FICA and medicare and fugure out your gross pay. It could also depend on the benefits the company offers and if that is part of your taxable compensation. One rule of thumb is to add 25% to what you want to bring home. Don't forget to figure out income tax also.

The internet has compensation calculators. To get a proper opinion, you'd have to ask an accountant. If you have a family member or friend in the accounting industry that's your best person to start the questions.

4k (12 months) = 48k. You may need to add another 12k for taxes bring you to 60k. Again, hit the comp calculators online.
Your answer is... it depends.

Net pay is a function of your marital status, the number of exemptions you claim, the benefit withholdings you may have, the state where you earn your income... etc.

Your question presumes that anyone who grosses, say $5000 a month will have the same take home pay.

Not true.
