I've been playing PS2 since a few months after it was released, and I can tell you that there is no way to update your console, with the exception of the DVD player disc. Not to mention, you cant patch a PS2 game since there is no hard drive on the console. Perhaps you downloaded a patch for the PC version (if there is one)? Sorry for the bad news...

How do i install an update which i got from the net to my playstation 2?
I have just got fifa 07 and i would like to update the teams. I have downloaded a patch from the net which is a MAX file (I presume MAX is playstation format) but i havent got a clue how to transfer it from my pc onto my playstation.
