How to derive Diamond Wt from studded jewelry when only Net wt available?

Say, i have a Gold Diamond Pendant whose Net weight is 10grams. Now how do I derive the content of Diamond Weight in it?How to derive Diamond Wt from studded jewelry when only Net wt available?
The only true way to find out is to pull the diamonds out and have them weighed. But I can tell ya the pendant will never look the same once you have them put back in, so it might not be worth it in the long run.

You can always guess-timate though. Take it into a jeweler and have them measure the stones and give you a guess. You might even want to take it to a few and see what they all say.

Good luck =]How to derive Diamond Wt from studded jewelry when only Net wt available?
There is absolutely no way you can calculate the diamond weight contained in your pendant from just the total weight of the piece. Using an extremely accurate measuring instrument you can check the sizes of the stones and estimate the weight (using a book of tables) but even this is not very accurate.

Sorry if this is not what you want to hear but that is how it is.
