How do i get my fish to get into the net?

I have a round tank for my fish its a Betta, when i try to clean his tank, i have the net on the glass and he's in the middle. Right when i think i have him he swims out a nother way, how do i do it?How do i get my fish to get into the net?
I have a betta myself and when I have to clean my fish's tank, I first tip the water into the sink and usually my fish swims away and I just keep tipping it slowly until there is about 2 inches or so left. Then I just tip the rest of the water in the tank into a spare tank that I keep my betta while I finish cleaning the tank. Then when it's time to bring my fish back into the cleaned tank, I just pour the fish in.How do i get my fish to get into the net?
use a lure...lol...(if you dont get it it means on a fishing pole)
try to catch it slowly, have patience
trap the little sucker in their and raise it up tuching the class on the open part till you make it up!so hes smarter than you??lol
Try taking your net and slowly gather him into it, and rush to the wall...Remove the fish, and clean his tank...Good luck!
thanks for the points
put it in the bowl and just let him start swimming around normally without moving it. Betas are dumb and he will forget that you just put that in there and eventually swim right into it. If you are patient you will be able to scoop him right out. It usually only takes a couple of seconds before they swim in.
I have been known to pour the fish into the net from the bowl. First I take a cup of water from the bowl and set it aside. Pull out any plants or decorations. Then set your net across the top of a bucket. Then gently pour the Betta out of the bowl into the net, stop before the rocks come out of the bottom of the bowl. Immediately put your Betta into the cup of water. Do not do this above the sink, you could easily loose your Betta down the drain. Then you can clean his bowl. I've also bent nets into different shapes so I can fit them into odd shaped bowls. Always be careful.
lower it into it
u can use a clean jar or bucket to get the little sucker. u can do the tip-in-the-sink thing. It also takes practice. U could take out most of the water and then pour the rest of the water and him in a bowl or bucket. Hey, that's a good idea! Sorry, I haven't had much glory lately, besides that I passed my math test...
Betta are aren't very smart, but they are trainable. Train your betta to come to your finger. Every day before you feed him stick your finger in the bowl, and wiggle it gently. Then when he comes feed him. Now when you need to net him stick the net in the tank, wait 3-5 seconds, then wiggle your finger in the water. When he comes slowly bring the net up under him. In my molly tank where my female betta hang out my main issue is trying only get one fish. My males use to be so use to this I used a half height glass instead of a net. (Now they are in 5 gallon tanks as I'm a lazy bastard.)
Bend the bottom of the net into the shape of the bowl - This way you can come up from underneath him and he has no gap to swim through. Hope this helps.
