I'd tested a lot of registry software before I found Registry Easy and I have to say this tool really stands out from the crowd. If you're serious about cleaning, repairing and optimizing your PC's registry, this is the tool I recommend above any of the others.

You have got to buy a registry cleaner. Getting a free one is way more trouble then it is worth. You will just be spammed with fake errors and offers to buy other products.

Most registry cleaners will report a variety of errors when you first run them, especially if you use the free trial. It's the way they market their product, to hook you into buying the full copy.

Thats not to say that no cleaner works well though, I have had good luck with XP Repair Pro. Check out a review at http://www.squidoo.com/vista-repair

XP Pro is safe for all versions of Windows.
Do not trust software which scan your PC and rather than detecting they also put MALWARE in your PC.

Now, the solution varies from MALWARE to MALWARE but i would suggest install AVAST Antivirus and COMODO Firewall (Both free). They will remove any such thing if possible.

If PC is fixed then luckey you else I would recommend reinstalling Windows. Its is at times much easier than hunting down the entries and files of the malware.
CCleaner, it will get rid of alot of temporary files on your computer. It also has a registry repair system, which is easily the best free one available on the Internet:

This will sort out your problmes without a doubt.

Manually fixing your registry is next to impossible.

Even being a huge computer nerd, I won't touch my registry unless I absolutely have to.
you can download ccleaner to fix registry error it's free download it here http://ccleaner.com

First, what whathisname said about not trusting scans..there are plenty of legitimate scans. In fact, the majority do not install malware.

But I agree - you need a good anti-virus program. I've been using Avast for year..it's free...and I never had a problem. Free download at www.download.com or their website at http://www.avast.com/ You want the ';home edition'; (there's a quick scan and a home edition to install..do that';)

Okay, regarding your registry. There are thousands of files in your registry. It could take you a year to clean it and learn about every single entry. That is why they make software to do the job.

There is plenty of virus free spyware free registry software available. The first time I scanned my registry I had thousands of errors (I do download a lot of software)...now that I clean it regulary (probably twice a month) I only have a few at a time and it's real quick. The first time will take longer.

Your registry controls your Windows Operating System. It tells your computer and every command that comes into it what to do and where to go. Each time it does that, new files are created in your registry and old ones often get left behind. Even just browsing the internet creates files in your registry. Eventually, it gets full, and commands start criss-crossing and getting mixed up, and taking to long to carry out and that messes up the computer. If you've had your computer for a few months and have done more than play solitaire - you need to clean your registry.

If you go to www.download.com and do a search for registry cleaners you'll see a bunch. CCleaner is the most popular. I have that one - it's pretty powerful. I also downloaded the Wise registry cleaner and Glarysoft or something like that. I also have (torrent) reg cure. If I went on a software download rampage or something (free software is an addiction I have...)..I might use all of them to scan my registry. Different registry cleaners will give you different results. Sometimes I'll run all of them and they'll all come up with different stuff.

I can guarantee you that the Wise and Glarysoft and Ccleaner are safe for your computer.

They all let you save your old registry settings, so if things get messed up you can restore things. Also, make sure you set up a system restore point and you can put the computer back to where it was. I never had to do this though. But if you had a virus things might be messed up.

The first time you clean it you might want to run the registry cleaner a couple times.

Also pay attention to what's being deleted. They're all good about telling you what should be touched and warning you what shouldn't be touched - I think the MRU's have to do with cleaning the history on your Start Menu and history stuff...so just uncheck the option to check those if you want. ..

The registry is important - and people who never touch it or clean it are just going to have problems. So it's NOT something you should never touch. BUT if you just go in there and randomly delete files your whole operating system will be kaput.

Anyhow, go to www.download.com and download a registry cleaner for free. The ones I mentioned above are definitely safe and definitely work.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions or need help.

PC FASTER:

There may be two reasons why your PC is running slow.

1. You havn't cleant up your PC for a long time.

2. You have got a virus or spyware on your PC.

You may search http://answers.yahoo.com for answers

I suggest you to run a virus test firstly with your virus scanner:(if you don't have virus killer, you may try Bitdefender, it is the best:

If not.
