Youre trying to BREED them? Are you sure thats what a breeder net is for? Leave the fish in the tank. The breeder net is for the fry afetr the female has released them. You place her in the net around the end of her prgenancy so that she realeases the fry in there so that the other fish dont get to them. Do not leave the male in there. Well this depends on the fish you have. If you are going to breed livebearers then the male doesn't have to be in the net at all once the female is pregnant.
