How do I replace a basketball net?

I am fairly mechanically inclined, but this has me a little bit stumped. I know how to get the old net out/new net into the corkscrew-looking tabs on the front part of the rim, but the backside of the rim only has holes. Do I have to untie the knot in the net's string there and thread it through the hole? The new net is already knotted there and is not loose. Is there an easier way than untying all of those knots, threading them through the holes and then retying them? How do I replace a basketball net?
cut it and tape itHow do I replace a basketball net?
buy a new net or by a new basketball ring.that would be the best thing to do.
