If you have a net book without a CD drive how do you install software?

I have a net book and would like to install some anti virus software, however most of it seems to be downloaded from a CD. As my net book does not have a CD drive this is not possible. How else can I install this (and any other) software? If you have a net book without a CD drive how do you install software?
A digital version of the software that can easily be found on the internet.

If you do have older CD's with things you want to install then getting an external dvd drive is your best optionIf you have a net book without a CD drive how do you install software?
1. Most antivirus (and other) software can be downloaded from it's vendor's website. If you don't feel comfortable going online until you have an antivirus, download it with another PC and use a flash drive to move the install program over.

2. Buy an external CD/DVD drive.
Usb flash drive is generally what I use to transfer files to and from the netbook.

But if you have an internet connection on the netbook see link%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;http://free.avg.com/us-en/download-avg-a鈥?/a>

Just download the free version.
you can download antivirus directly to your hard drive, others you could download to a memory stick
you will have to download from the net. visit the web site you want, most have a download.
I have an external CD/DVD drive and external hard drives.
You download from the net or (far more sensibly) buy yourself a USB DVD/CD drive and use that.
