Using my ethernet (blue) cable i have tried to connect my laptop to the net via my modem for the PC. BUT when i put the ethernet cable in i cannot browse the net and when i go into control panel and try to select 'connect to the internet %26gt; broadband' it asks me for a username and password? What do i do?How do I connect my Acer laptop to the net?
Let's guess that you are running Windows. Your Connection Wizard should ask whether you are configuring an 'always on' connection. Answer 'yes' and you shouldn't be prompted for user %26amp; password. If this answer doesn't help, what is your operating system? what icon are you launching to do this configuration? What screens precede the user-password prompt?
